The much anticipated Drago Centro has opened in downtown Los Angeles. Drago Centro is the new luxury dining Italian restaurant.

The design, developed by Stanley Felderman, of Felderman Keatinge & Associates in collaboration with Celestino Drago, incorporates the rich experience of Celestino’s Italy into the modern urban setting of downtown Los Angeles. The space was inspired by the urban design of the Rialto Bridge and adjacent market place in Venice and the colors were inspired by the artists, Giorgio de Chirico and Giorgio Morandi.

The use of full height windows brings the surrounding architecture into the space. Strong architectural features such as the vaulted ceiling, stone walls and fifteen foot high glass enclosed wine tower are iconic elements. The combination of these elements and the warm rich hues bridge the cool modernity of the city with the warmth of Celestino's native Italy.

Drago Centro offers a broad variety of dining experiences, from intimate tables and booths to large family style tables. There are great sightlines throughout the restaurant and wherever you sit, you are at the best table. The elegant private dining room with it’s stone walls seats up to sixteen people. There is a large outdoor lounge and dining area under a dramatic canopy. Accessed from the outdoor lounge, and separate from the building, is an old bank vault that has been transformed into a demonstration kitchen that functions as a venue for private events, demonstration dining and wine tastings.

A focal point in the restaurant is the fifteen foot glass enclosed wine tower that features wines from Italy, France and California. The bar and lounge will be a destination spot where patrons can experience amazing wines, cocktails and small bites. Stanley Felderman whose work has been exhibited in the Whitney Museum and Museum of Modern Art in New York, along with his team also developed the logo, menus and photo mural for the restaurant.

The food, atmosphere and architecture at Drago Centro create a dynamic and memorable experience.
